Vulnerability Assessment

A comprehensive threat assessment is conducted of your facility. The assessment involves in-depth observation of daily operations and local crime statistics. The results of the assessment are published to the proper authority and aid in effectively utilizing resources.

Physical Security Assessment

A physical security assessment is conducted of your facility. The assessment includes checks of locks, lighting, security coverage, and access control. Effective physical security is necessary for protecting students, staff, and equipment. The assessment is a living document that should be maintained regularly. HSC provides training to whomever shall be tasked as being responsible for the physical security of your facility.

Campus Supervisor Training

HSC has developed a formalized training program for campus supervisors that addresses issues they will encounter during the course of their duties. The training helps them become more effective at their job, which in turn makes your facility safer and encourages a healthier learning environment.

Campus Supervisor Continuity Book

The campus supervisor is one of the most important jobs on a school campus. They are the conduit between the student body and administrators, as well as the eyes and ears on the ground. They see and hear more than many faculty members. As such, their training and development is paramount. We use a continuity book to educate, which allows for the campus supervisors to keep track of policy, activity logs, incident reports, and site specific notes. This book was developed over the course of several years working as a campus supervisor.

Active Shooter Training

Unfortunately, Active shooter training is necessary. A qualified active shooter instructor will give a detailed class to staff members on their role during an active shooter situation.

Emergency Drill (Lockdown/Active Threat) Evaluation

Years of training and evaluating the efficiency and the proper execution of military drills and federal law enforcement practices make the HSC team the perfect combination to protect you. We diligently watch, evaluate, and assist in the modification of emergency drills.

Additional Security Guard Training

HSC takes years of military and law enforcement experience and education in criminal justice and counter terrorism to provide unique training for your security officers. We cover a range of topics such as gangs, counter terrorism, observe and report scenarios, and security officer training to set your officers apart from others and give them a competitive edge.

Traumatic Event Medical Training

The Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) differs from most standard First Aid Kits in that it provides the caretaker with the essential medical adjuncts needed to address the leading causes of preventable deaths immediately following an emergency.  The IFAK class is a condensed version of the military’s Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC).  The course is based on decades of scientific research and proven combat experience of the United States Military starting from Vietnam to lessons learned in Mogadishu, Somalia.  The IFAK has become standard issue for each military person being deployed to combat and most Law Enforcement Officers throughout the United States.

Each participant will be taught the proper application of a tourniquet, chest seal, proper methods for packing wounds (stopping severe arterial bleeding) and proper methods for opening and maintaining an airway.  In this class the student will learn the MARCH algorithm and why we deal with bleeding first.  Its takes approximately six (6) minutes for the human brain to die due to lack of oxygen, however it takes approximately less than three (3) minutes for a person to bleed out from a severe arterial bleed.

Our medical consultant, Dr. Reiser reviews our materials to ensure the most up-to-date and effective medical response methods are taught.

Upon completion of the class, participants will be afforded the opportunity to purchase one of our various IFAK's.
